  • Short Term, Long Term & Life Insurance optionsJob DetailsReporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician supports maintenance and safety operations for the company's manufacturing plant. Duties include overseeing the installation, upkeep, and repair of various aspects vital to facility operations, such as utilities, structures, manufacturing equipment, company vehicles, and more. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all levels is a key aspect of this role.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Conduct skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repairs on building components, production systems, and related equipment.
    • Implement preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance measures according to the company's schedule.
    • Manage inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
    • Maintain the company's vehicle fleet and material handling equipment.
    • Install new equipment or machinery as needed for production or maintenance purposes.
    • Oversee maintenance and safety activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
    • Develop maintenance schedules and standards, overseeing contract maintenance and support services.
    • Monitor pest management activities effectively.
    • Prepare and submit maintenance reports as required.
    • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
    • Collaborate with the production team to coordinate activities effectively.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Communicate effectively with production team, management, and colleagues within and outside of Maintenance.REQUIREMENTS:
      • At least five years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or related environment is necessary, with knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards being advantageous.
      • Ability to work, diagnose, perform maintenance, and make repairs independently under general supervision.
      • Minimum of two years' experience in the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and programming of robotic systems, and systems operated by PLC Programable Logic Controls. Familiarity with PLC Programing a plus.
      • Minimum of two years of industrial electrical experience and experience with 480 Volt 3Phase electrical systems troubleshooting is required.
      • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical and electrical system failures is essential, with experience in PLCs and Robotics being mandatory.
      • Prior experience in repairing and maintaining powered lift equipment is preferred.
      • Ability to utilize a variety of tools for adjustments, calibrations, and fabrication of parts.
      • Proficiency in using test equipment such as clamp-on ammeters and multimeters for troubleshooting purposes.
      • Proficiency in Mig, Tig & Arc Welding for fabrication repairs.
      • Capability to interpret engineering blueprints and schematics, both electrical and pneumatic.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Professional software, and familiarity with database and spreadsheet applications. -
      • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
      • Ability to service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, and transmission systems, along with assessing the functionality of production-related equipment.
      • Flexibility in scheduling is required as needed
      • Physical ability to perform tasks including walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and operating at heights on lifts or ladders.
